Frequently Asked Questions

Products & ingredients

Are your products vegan and gluten-free?

Every one of our products is gluten-free. All of them are vegan except our Lemon Curd and Passionfruit Curd, which contain eggs and butter.

Do your products contain allergens?

We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy our products, so only a few of them contain allergens. The allergens we use in our recipes are mustard, eggs and dairy (butter). The ingredients and allergens for every product are listed on its product page.

Please note that our kitchen handles all common allergens, so we can't guarantee that any product is free from traces. If you have a severe allergy, please take this into account.

How long do your products last, and how should I store them?

Unopened jars, including our curds, keep for many months in a cool, dark cupboard. Check the best-before date on each jar. Once a jar is opened, keep it in the fridge and use it within 1–2 months.

Our Lemon Curd and Passionfruit Curd don't keep as long once opened. Refrigerate them and use them within 7 days.

Where are your products made?

Everything is handmade in small batches in our kitchen in Perth, WA, using local produce and Australian ingredients wherever we can.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?

We ship Australia-wide with Australia Post. Shipping is a flat $15, and delivery is free on orders over $100.

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed Monday to Friday are usually packed and sent within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on the weekend go out early the following week. Australia Post usually delivers in 2–7 business days, depending on where you are. You can check estimated delivery times for your postcode with Australia Post's delivery time calculator.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes. Local pickup is free from Noranda, by arrangement. Choose "Free pickup" at checkout and we'll get in touch to arrange a collection time that suits you. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours, so it's a handy option for last-minute gifts.

Returns & breakages

What if a jar arrives broken?

We pack every jar carefully, but sometimes breakages happen in transit. If a jar arrives broken, email a photo of it to hello@themulberrypig.com within 48 hours of receiving your order. Once we've looked at it, we'll send you a fresh jar straight away.

What's your returns policy?

For food safety reasons, we can't accept returns if you change your mind. If there's a problem with your order or a product, email us at hello@themulberrypig.com and we'll be happy to help.
